Currently the market share of textile and textile products (TPT) Indonesia is only 2 percent of the world textile market. This is as said by Vice Chairman of the Indonesian Textile Association (API) of Central Java, Liliek Setiawan Very ironic when compared with neighboring countries like Vietnam. Vietnam has its TPT market share of about 6 percent of the world textile market.

"Whereas in infrastructure, Indonesia is considered more ready because it has a upstream to downstream industry completely," he said.

Starting from the yarn industry, fabric, garment, and others. While Vietnam, lacking such schemes, the country has only downstream textile industry alone. But in fact it is not a guarantee, because in terms of international agreements, Indonesia is always considered lagging behind.

Nevertheless, Liliek continued, the national textile industry is able to produce high quality products, up to date design and fast supply capability.

"It will still have a greater chance to reach the world market," he said.

This is, he added, can not be separated from the hard work together both the government and all domestic TPT industry actors to be able to survive the face of increasingly keen global competition.
