Selected students who are members of the MBKM Thematic KKN UPN Veterans East Java launched entrepreneurial innovations in Pakal Village. From the results of the interview, Mrs. Sriyani as a PKK administrator, said that batik has the potential to be developed and is expected to promote economic welfare in the Pakal Village. However, it is unfortunate that human resources are still classified as passive and the community's creativity is lacking. One form of the role of students in this activity is to hold batik craft training by involving the community from RW representatives as targets in the training held. This training aims to increase the creativity of the Pakal community and it is hoped that the results of this batik craft can become an icon in Pakal Village.

The training and cadre of batik SMEs will be guided by Mrs. Sriyani as the PKK administrator and Mrs. Siti Aminah as the village head. In this batik training, the Sibori batik technique and the ecoprint batik technique are used.

Sibori batik technique is one of the textile dyeing methods in Japan since the 8th century. Shibori is a fabric dyeing technique that includes stitching, tying, twisting, clamping and wrapping. The basic technique of Shibori is drawing on cloth, and tying the knot tightly with thread.

Ecoprint batik technique. Ecoprint comes from the word eco which means ecosystem and print which means print. From this meaning, it can be explained that ecoprint is a way of making batik on cloth by printing motifs from natural materials such as teak leaves, guava leaves, Japanese papaya leaves, and leaves that are all around us. The resulting motifs are varied and unique because each leaf used has a different shape and size and produces a different color.

Batik craft training is held every second week of every month, which will later become an intermediary for the KKNT Group in conveying knowledge and skills to the Pakal Village community.

It is hoped that the regular monthly training will make human resources active and creative to improve the economy of the Pakal Village community.
