The process of batik is an option that attracts many visitors to the Textile Museum located in the Palmerah area, West Jakarta. This was conveyed by Artanti Kusuma Ritasari, Museum Guide, Thursday (26/5/2033) afternoon. "For the purpose, the people who go to the museum want to learn how to make batik. They always want to know how to make batik," explained Artanti. Visitors who come to make batik also vary. Meanwhile, there are academic circles ranging from PAUD, Kindergarten, to higher education levels. Also local and foreign visitors do not want to be left behind.
The batik procession at the Textile Museum is taught directly by experts, usually divided into many sessions, depending on the number of visitors present at that time.
Even for the process from batik to completion usually takes one to one and a half hours. Then the finished batik cloth can be brought home by visitors.
Until now, the total collection of batik cloth and textiles and all batik equipment to weaving equipment at the Textile Museum is approximately 2,500 collections.
